Information:

The goal of this annual meeting is to provide network and station operators an opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge on recent and current relevant developments in e.g. seismic network operations, data management and community tools. At this meeting we also encourage the presentation of new relevant developments by academic and research institutes aimed at facilitating a wide range of observatory operations and activities.

Considering the developments of the European Integrated Data Archive (EIDA: www.orfeus-eu.org/eida) within ORFEUS, the fast growing of the Strong Motion community (www.orfeus-eu.org/rrsm), the on-going challenging IT developments and other forthcoming activities in European seismology, this 2015 Observatory Coordonating meeting will focus on the following topics:

  • (Meta)data management and EIDA
  • Quality assurance
  • Attribution and data policies
  • Strong motion community workshop on site characterization
  • Joint SeisComP3 and ObsPy communities workshop

The “2015 ORFEUS Annual Observatory Coordination meeting” will take place from 21 to 24 September 2015 in Bucharest, Romania, at the Ramada Majestic Bucharest Hotel. The number of participants for the workshop is limited.
